|My beautiful grandmother ‘Tilly’ who is living proof that you can be chic at any age – a truly inspirational woman!|
Back from the city of light, love and fashion… Paris bien sur! A girls trip consisting of three generations – grandmother, my aunt, my mom, my cousin and moi!
Most memorable moments: chocolate chaud at Le deux Magot, Macarons at Laduree, sitting in the parks and laughing to tears and listening to my grandmothers amazing stories of when she lived in Paris at every little rue we walked through.
We also did a lot of shopping… It’s amazing how the parisian woman manages to keep up to date with all of the big fashion trends and still remain fuss free, relaxed and chic. I saw everything from sequined Vanessa Bruno canvas shopper totes to the uber classic Chanel bags paired with everything from simple floral dresses, sleek blazers and espardilles.
One thing every Paris girl knows is: where the outlets are! For the cash-conscious parisian there are ‘les depots-ventes’ or designer resale outlets. One in particular in the 16th arrondissment is Reciproque stocking all the big labels and reduces them up to 60% during sales week! I scored many goodies inlcuding a Marc Jacobs pink cropped denim jacket, Etro Milano paisley bikini and an Isabel Marant top. Stock is changed regularly and rumagging skills are necessary as there are racks upon racks of great deals, so take a friend and plan to spend the entire day there. If you ask nicely they let you keep the velvet hangers…
