I love summer as much as anyone but I can’t help but get excited about the next season when I see fall’s new stars in the magazines. So lets talk about the trends that stand out and we’ll most likely be wearing. It’s important that as the season start we don’t get over excited and buy into every single trend. I’ve picked out a few of my favorites and the ones I’ll most likely buy into. But first you have to decide which trend you’re going to commit to most so you can get the most out of the pieces you invest in. Are you a seventies girl with thigh-high boots and long fleece coats? Are you a mod queen with twiggy-esque shift dresses and menswear loafers? If you’re an equal opportunity trend lover, that’s also fine. I am too. But then you want to go for more high-street priced trends and nobody does it better than Zara. But let’s talk about the trends…
Crop Tops: Still very dominant but with long sleeves and high waistlines. Put a loose white shirt under your crop top and where it straight into Fall as illustrated below in the Zara look book.
Oversized fur: Fur (synthetic or real) in giant proportions will make you feel like a walking wookie. Wear it with black leather pants (that will never go out of style) and a felt hat for a luxe hippie vibe.

School teacher skirts: In all fabrics and colors, these calf length skirts add instant chic to any outfit. I particularly like the leather variety as seen in the Zara look book below.
Oversized men’s coats: The great thing about these is that they go with absolutely everything. It’s time to steal your boyfriend’s coat.

Thigh-high boots: No other footwear is making me swoon as much as these boots as seen in the Emilio Pucci show. Kate Moss wears these best, showing us how to wear them over jeans, with micro shorts and even mini skirts (gasp!). Do we dare? I say yes to all varieties, sky high heels or demure flats will keep us warm all winter long.
