Roman Holiday

When presented with the opportunity for a family mini-break in Rome and Venice, I jumped at the chance since I had never been to either city. I knew I was going to be blown away by this ancient city but I never imagined just how much. Our first stop was the Vatican to see of course, the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica. By the end of it I was exhausted but I left feeling enriched by this opportunity to be in such an iconic place. I wore an outfit I was saving for Venice but then decided I would look too much like a Gondolier! The weather was incredibly warm for fall but perfect for some indulgent Gelato from Venchi which was by far the most delicious ice cream I’ve ever had and totally worth the calories! (I tried 2 gelato’s a day from pretty much any street stall I could find!)
