It’s hard to believe that I once lived here. Being back here brings back so many memories and I realize just how blessed I am to have had incredible parents that gave me the chance to experience living in so many incredible places. It feels like a whole other lifetime ago I was here in high school, living in one of the most crazy, exotic and beautiful cities in the world. You can imagine I had some pretty wild times here but also some of my most treasured memories. The people, the food, the nightlife…it’s hard to pinpoint only one thing that makes this city so unique. I’m lucky enough to have lived here when the city was a little more rough around the edges and not as developed as it is today because everything felt like more of an adventure and there were always new things to discover and be excited about. Still, I can appreciate that the city has grown up and become a more sophisticated southeast Asian destination. We’re here for a friends wedding so me and hubby have a fully packed social calendar which is great but also quite hectic for a holiday! I can’t even begin to tell you guys about amazing restaurants and bars we’ve been to in the past week, truly incredible. In a few days we head to the beach for the second part of the wedding we’re attending so I hope to have more time to relax and post some more pictures! I will also do a post on my must-see places so look out for that one!
Photo’s below were taken poolside at our apartment and at Chatuckak (JJ weekend market) with my lovely friend Rin.
