Blending in with Marrakech

In case you were wondering, my mind is still in Marrakech! As I sit here looking at specifications, patterns and product orders for my upcoming Swimwear line (stay tuned!) my mind keeps wandering to this magical moments we spent getting lost in the souks of Marrakech discovering all its charms.

These pictures were taken on the first day we did the tour of the monuments and palaces but I just had to stop and take some pictures of my look as well, much to the amusement of our tour guide! The weather was incredible, the air was sweet with the smell of orange blossoms and all we were worried about was finding the best rooftop to see the sunset over the Medina!

About the look… I always like to take pieces with me that I can easily blend in to the place. I was also aware that in the mornings it was chilly and that showing too much skin wasn’t too culturally acceptable (its not forbidden either though) so I chose things I could layer on and cover up with but still feel comfortable and look good in.

I’m so grateful for the time we had there to recharge and inspire us and now we’re giving it full energy with our new venture, getting the company registered in Germany and coordinating with facotory times. I couldn’t be more excited but also a little scared too, I’d be lying if I said I was totally care-free about it! I can’t wait to share it with you and of course, readers will have priority sneak peaks as soon as I’m ready to share it!
