That Yellow Dress

My Marrakech princess moment? Twirling around in this beautiful maxi gown in the halls of La Mamounia! It’s so easy to take great pictures there when every inch of the hotel is beautiful and eyecatching. I also just want to point out how important it is to have something a little formal with you in your suitcase! We went to a few restaurants that required elegant attire and I definitely didn’t feel out of place in this with all of the glamourous ladies lounging in the hotel restaurants in glitzy ensembles. So ALWAYS pack some elegant evening wear on all of your travels. Yes, even backpacking, you never know!!

I’m sure you saw this hall many times and even on a few other blogs as well… so I just had to show it tou you and take a few pictures there before our last dinner in Marrakech wearing this beautiful yellow dress. I generally don’t wear such loud punchy colors but this one had a 70′s vibe to it which I loved. I paired it with this vintage fringe bag which was just waiting for a dramatic moment to come out of my closet! I love the long fringe it has which is another big trend this season…everything FRINGE! The purple and yellow kind of had a color blocking effect which was also a big thing in the 70′s so it felt just right. I don’t know why but my idea of Marrakech was sort of rooted in the hippie era what with all the photo’s of Talitha Getty on the rooftops of a riad and wild parties with the Rolling Stones.

But now I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves in this magical place…
