Right now it’s all about the 70′s and in case you didn’t get the memo, denim, as well as suede, is the big trend for anyone looking to channel this season’s 70′s style in a modern way. When I look back to that era, I mostly think of Ali McGraw in ‘Love Story’ and if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a tearjerker but a must watch! It’s great to channel a period but you have to do it with a modern twist so you don’t look like you’re headed to a costume party. I added a fun color-block clutch which is the perfect spring clutch to add a pop of color.
I’m a self confessed denim lover for as long as I can remember. If I look through my childhood photo’s either my mom or myself are wearing an oversized denim jacket in a a variation of washes which I think is a result of living in the US in the 90′s mostly but it’s also one of those all american relaxed looks that can be effortless but somehow chic at the same time. I’m wearing it with my new favorite clutch that I got from my mother in law for my birthday from French favorite brand Lancel. I love the contrasting colors so much and I can’t seem to stop wearing it lately!
I shot these pictures with Nina from Helloshopping before we had lunch on the roof of Soho House, my favorite place for a sunny day. She did such a great job of capturing the style, I couldn’t pick just a few images so I just uploaded the whole lot for you! I have some more exciting shots from my time in Hamburg coming up so stay tuned! xx
