Postcards from Paris with Carl F. Bucherer

It’s been a while since I posted but like I said in a previous post, sometimes it’s necessary to take a step back, take time for yourselves and put things in order in your life before you move forward. Paris is such a special place for me. My grandparents lived there when I was a baby and since then I’ve visited the city at all stages of my life. Kind of like a safe haven, it’s always so welcoming (despite what people say about the parisiennes) and just familiar to me. It’s a place to go for walks in the night through empty streets in dim parisienne lighting, wander the streets by days to find that perfect little café to spend the afternoon and just admire the beauty of the city… even in the rain, it’s the most beautiful city in the world.

While I was there I visited Carl F. Bucherer and their incredible store on the Boulevard de Capucines which consisted of three floors of every watch brand under the sun: Rolex, Cartier, Omega and of course their own brand. I was given a beautiful diamond and mother pearl chronograph to wear which I hardly take off now! I love big watches so this one was kind of perfect for me and the white strap is great for all my summer outfits and my Miami tan. I’m not much for over the top jewelry or watches but I couldn’t resist trying on their breathtaking pave diamond watch which you can see in the images below.

I stayed at the beautiful Burgundy hotel which is conveniently located near rue Saint-Honoré and the fashionable Place Vendôme. It’s always a treat to stay at intimite boutique hotels like this who make your stay so welcome and  give you a feeling of a ‘home away from home’. The staff were absolutely lovely and always there to help with recommendations and I really loved their beautifully decorated rooms.

So without further adeiu, here are some pictures from Paris including the beautiful Carl F. Bucherer store that I urge you to check out if you’re looking for that perfect timepiece next time you’re in the city of light and love.
