Free People Dress

A quick little post from Key West in Florida…and yes, I realize how long it’s been since I posted. I did say that I was going through some adjustments and I felt it was more important to take care of myself and worry less about work. But in all fairness I did go to LA to work for 3 days for a very special shooting which I can’t reveal yet but soon enough I’ll be posting all the pictures from the campaign shooting here!

In the meantime I’ll leave you with these pictures wearing my very favorite new top from Free People which I had a hard time NOT wearing since it was perfectly light and airy for the Florida heat. Key West is truly a magical place. Even the drive down from Miami was full of cool run down biker bars and Tikki themed beach stops. On one particular stop we ate by the water and watched manatee’s swim by while we ate the famous ‘Conch Fritters’ of the area. They do like their fried food down south! ;) I loved the pastel houses, the quiet porches and the palm tree lined streets, it all seemed so peaceful and simple. The highlight was probably the beautiful hotel we stayed in which was the epitome of southern comfort with its four post beds and veranda’s overlooking the ocean. Another highlight was the home of Hemingway and don’t miss the theatrical guided tour full of anecdotes and funny stories about his debaucherous past and many wives and lovers. Florida has a special place in my heart since I remember it so fondly from when I was a kid and we used to have our family vacations there. It’s no wonder I like going back so much since it’s such a happy place for me. Stay tuned for a little travel diary from Miami and key West. ;)
